The central coast town of Cape Carteret is home to the Harborlight Guest House, a bed & breakfast that caters to the wants and needs of the visitor looking for a secluded spot to get away from it all. Owners, Bobby and Anita Gill have succeeded in creating an atmosphere where visitors can relax and enjoy the beautiful view and wildlife that the waterfront of Bogue Sound and the Intracoastal Waterway offer. The house sits on a peninsula with a water view on three sides that includes palm trees, a marsh, and a wide variety of birds. Occasionally, guest are lucky enough to glimpse porpoise feeding in the waters surrounding the inn.
The architecture and layout of the Harborlight is one of the best features. All suites have private entrances off a balcony that surrounds the house. There are seven luxury suites; all with stunning waterviews. Luxury suites feature fireplaces, two-person whirlpool tubs, and breakfast in-suite or deckside. The newest luxury suite features a 72"*72" European Bubblebath Tub with a underwater "mood" light.
