Each of the seven unique and lovely guestrooms reflects the decor and character from different areas of the world. Venice, Mackinac Island, Paris, Athens, Africa, Sanibel Island and Bavaria are some of the Gilmer's favorite travel destinations and are represented at the Inn. As well as enjoying tourists and getaway couples, the Inn has a good deal of corporate traffic, due to its location and corporate services such as free fax service and local calls, individual phone lines for easy on-line connection and massage therapy in the guest rooms. The getaway couples love the option of being pampered with, candlelight, carriage rides, long stem red rose on the bed pillows and champagne. The breakfasts are a feast for the tastebuds and are usually gourmet; the bountiful breakfasts are always extra-special. The location of the Inn, halfway between Natchez and Nashville near the Natchez Trace Visitors Center brings alot of bicyclers to the Inn.

The Inn is rated in the top ten best in Mississippi, featured in South's Best Bed & Breakfast, America's Best Bed & Breakfast by Fodors, Travel & Leisure Magazine, Inside Mississippi, Traveling the Trace and Mississippi Business Journal, and Memphis/LosAngeles/Houston/Birmingham's major newspapers. It has been very fortunate to also be featured in various televison segments on Mississippi's best B&B's, and to be in National Geographic in January/February 1999.
