The Bucks Lake Hideaway is located at the 5,200 foot elevation in Plumas County, California. Approximately 2 hours from Reno, Nevada and 4 hours from San Francisco, California. We are located in the high Sierra Nevada Mountains with mountain streams, lakes and tall evergreens surrounding the very private setting. While quite secluded and quiet we are within a 1/4 mile of two full-service resorts and Bucks Lake for water skiing, sailing, great fishing and hiking.

We are snowed in from December through April so snowmobiling and cross-country skiing on either groomed trails or our private land is the order of the day. We receive a dependable 8-10 feet of snow during these winter months. Early reservations are recommended.

Our guests say we are the "opposite of rustic".
