Now imagine a peaceful night of rest snuggled under plump down comforters and puffy pillows - then arise to the symphony of songbirds on your private deck sipping KONA - or OJ then after a hearty breakfast, jump on a Bartels`bicycle and ride off to beautiful Lake Henessey or over to the neighbors to meet the winemaker and sip cabernet from his barrels in the caves! ~ or if you prefer pull an innkeeper favorite and "Sleep in LATE" then enjoy breakfast (served til noon) on a table setting in seven unique locations the choice is yours - after all - it is your vacation! Jami's favorite coffees, tea and cookies are available 24 hours a day on the sideboard. Apples in a basket await a trip to greet "Sugar" in the meadows! Evening dessert changes daily but all the comforts of "home away from home" will remain to welcome your return from a long day of winetasting, picnics, hot air ballooning, hiking or just lounging by the pool with a great book.

Backgammon and Chess are set up in the library for a challenge. The baby grand in the sunken living room invites your talent ~ as do the guitars. More entertainment possibilities include the billiards and table tennis in the high-beamed entertainment room with cathedral ceilings, redwood paneling and a n 18~ brick fireplace - the perfect setting for fireside sherry! We do invite you to come ~ dream awhile at Bartels in the heart of Napa Valley Wine Country - the perfect setting for a special honeymoon, an anniversary celebration complete with wedding vows repeated in the oakgrove cathedral - or perhaps arrange to rent the entire inn for a reunion or special corporate meeting.

In 1997, our "dinner service" was the highlight of many guests, who chose to relax "at home" in the evening and choose dinner delivery from 19 restaurants in and around St. Helena.
