Designed by Alfred Lee and built by Robert I. Morse as a private home, it is one of Bellingham's landmark buildings. Listed on the National Historic Register, it is thoughtfully maintained as an Inn with 10 guest rooms, 8 with private baths. Several Guest rooms offer views of Bellingham Bay. A full breakfast is served each morning in the Dinning Room. Guests may enjoy pastries made from freshly milled flour, sip freshly ground coffee, or savor the bounty that the Northwest and Whatcom County offer. While visiting, guests may relax in the sitting room or library while they watch the sun set on the Bay. Guests also enjoy sitting in the Victorian garden swings watching the sailboats gently pass. A musical theme flows throughout the Inn. Rooms are named for musical ideas and guests may reserve the room with a Baldwin grand piano, or enjoy the Steinway grand in the living room. The combination of wonderful food, commanding views, music, conversation, and historic ambiance make a visit to the North Garden Inn an experience to remember.
