Swinford House is a privately owned guest house set in the beautiful, peaceful countryside of Mid Glamorgan, South Wales. Our house, situated in the secluded Court Colman Estate, is conveniently located just 2½ miles from Junction 36 of the M4. As hosts of Swinford House, we assure you a friendly atmosphere and quality of service which is second-to-none.

Our local area has history which links castles to coal mines, there are many rich, creative traditions that are still practised throughout the area. South Wales has more country parks that anywhere else in Wales. In particular, we can suggest visits to Bryngarw House and its surrounding country park.

Wales plays host to the Rugby World Cup during Autumn 1999. Matches will be taking place throughout the principality. We expect to welcome overseas and UK visitors alike to the area during the 5 weeks of the tournament. Cardiff will take centre stage for the opening ceremony and final match. Buses and Trains run regularly between Bridgend and Cardiff. The atmosphere at rugby matches in the Valleys is as passionate as anywhere else in the world.
