We've been called "a B&B paradise" by the Rocky Mountain News. The Toronto Star says "Taos B&B Tops". Orinda is an updated and enlarged adobe. The home sits in a valley just below town. It is surrounded by pastures and giant elms and cottonwoods providing country privacy, yet only a 15 minute walk to the famed Taos Plaza, excellent restaurants, galleries and museums. Our blend of sweeping mountain views and closeness to town is unequaled by any other lodging in the area.
Stay at Orinda, and you'll be shown to a room full of authentic Taos touches. Our rooms are quiet and cozy with kiva fireplaces, private baths filled with Mexican tile, traditional viga ceilings and wonderful views.
In the main house, a Gourmet Continental Breakfast is served at a sky lit table in a gallery showing the talents of local artists and early century Navajo rugs. The large living room provides guests with a library and media center, a cozy kiva fireplace nook, and Taos Mountain framed in our immense picture windows.
With only three guest rooms, you'll never be lost in the shuffle here. However, if it's privacy you want, each room has a private bath and separate outside entrance. Our thick adobe walls ensure peace and quiet. In summer relax under cool cottonwood and elm trees on our huge lawns and soak up the views. In winter curl up in front of the wood stove in the sunroom and swap ski stories.
