We are 5 miles from the famous Smuggler's Notch Resort, which is renowned for its mountain of fun for beginners. For really serious skiers, Smuggs has the first triple black diamond trail in the East, as well as the highest vertical drop in northern Vermont.
Other ideas: Snowshoeing on the Smuggler's Notch Road, which is closed to vehicles in the winter, is a breathtaking experience. Try cross-country skiing at Smugg's Nordic Center, or let us guide you to moderate or challenging backcountry trails nearby. We are within 40 minutes or so of Jay Peak, Bolton Valley, Craftsbury Nordic Center, and Trapp Family.
After a hard day's adventures, relax in our comfy living room, with its tin ceiling, cozy fireplace, shelves of games and books, and the only TV in the place. Then, ease your muscles in our outdoor hot tub or belly up to our old-fashioned, half-circular bar with its copper foot rail. Our 11 guest rooms all have private baths (one with a jacuzzi) and can accommodate from 2 to 4 persons. The rooms are decorated modestly, with special touches such as fluffy towels and locally made quilts and lamps.
