Asher G. Walton built this house as a private residence circa 1868 in the heart of downtown, across the street from his State Bank and his merchantile store. Possessing many examples of fine European craftsmanship, the hardwoods used throughout the Asher Walton home provide a pleasing sense of comfort and style. The home's three fireplaces add warmth and charm to the Breakfast, Parlor and Drawing rooms. Walton Gardens, our south lawn, offers croquet, badminton, volleyball and horseshoe pitching areas. The wrap around porch provides bed & breakfast guests a quiet respite.
Guest rooms are available with queen or double beds, and include reception/check-in after 5:00 p.m. EST, 24-hour coffee/snack bar, turn-down service, hot breakfasts prepared fresh daily. Victorian baths feature claw foot tubs. Views of the home can be accessed through our on-line Virtual Tour.
The antique-rich communities of Tipton, Kokomo, Arcadia, Cicero, Noblesville, and Fishers are all within a 20 mile surrounding area, and the excitement of Indianapolis is only a short drive away.
Special rates apply in May (Indianapolis 500), August (Brickyard 400), September (New Earth Festival) and December (pre-Christmas). Late arrival service is available.
