The century-old farmhouse of TierraLinda invites you to enjoy the peacefulness of the Jo Daviess countryside. TierraLinda, which means Beautiful Earth, is the home of Armando Villa and his Airedale Terriers: La Luna, Mr. Bingo Bruiser, Champs d'Or, El Sol and Rudi. The Bed and Breakfast is only 5 miles from downtown Galena but far away from the urban bustle.




An old farm house was renovated to create this intimate and private little heaven. The two beautiful guestrooms have queen size beds with European bedding and private baths. A full breakfast is served featuring specialties of TierraLinda




The renovated house is centrally air conditioned and heated. Located in the first floor living room is Hot Blast Florence, a 1917 potbelly stove, which guests can sit around and enjoy a winter beverage and conversation. During warmer weather, relax on the front porch that has a view of rolling hills and distant farms




TierraLinda has her own beach and island, a magic forest and waterfalls. If you are accustomed to a lot of gadgets (cell phones, pagers, laptos, DVD, etc.) then leave them home and come to TierraLinda for a Nature and peaceful break. Bring your dog or borrow one and make him/her happy.




TierraLinda is nestled among 11 acres of meadows and woods. Guests can fish and swim in the pond, sit by the waterfalls or lie on the sandy beaches. One can also stroll through the forest on footpaths that follow cascading streams while listening to the sounds of frogs and birds. The roads around TierraLinda are lightly traveled by cars and that makes them ideal for biking. Hammocks decorate the yards and are available for guests to rest in after a day of antique shopping, biking or hiking.
