Acorn Bed and Breakfast , built in 1975 , is set back from the road on two acres and surrounded by large , stately oak trees.The lovely Cape Cod style home features front and back porches , an ornate cooking range in the kitchen , a dining room featuring Oldhickory furniture , a living room with fireplace ,with two cozy guest rooms , both with private bath , and antiques throughout. Each morning the Acorn provides a full breakfast of freshly baked muffins , coffee cakes , bacon , eggs , toast with homemade jam , bread pudding with raspberry sauce , and other fine treats.The innkeepers have "spared no detail" , tells the Hartford Courant.Newsday Travel featured Acorn Bed and Breakfast in its "Inn of the Week"column.
