La Malbaie Pointe-au-Pic is a small French Canadian village on the Saint Lawrence River, about 1 1/2 hours N.E. of Quebec City, in the mountains of Charlevoix. Gite Harrop's (Harrop's bed & Breakfast) is a century old Victorian style house with 5 rooms available, is open year round and has been in business for about 15 years. Located in the center of the village, with a hugh landscaped yard (about 3 acres), lots of free parking, and yet the best mountain climbing in Charlevoix (75 foot vertical face) is only a 2 minute walk from the house, the Casion de Charlevoix being a 10 minute walk. Charlevoix is very well known for it's excellent cuisine, and several of the Auberges (inns) are also within minutes walk of the house. The house is no smoking, with the exception of one sitting room, with a fireplace and access to the T.V.; and a full breakfast is served with each and every room rental. Air conditioning is not necessary in this part of the country, but a fan is in every room.
