Abe's Spring Street Guest House is housed in an 1876 Italinate brick and limestone building with 27-inch thick walls. Originally, it was built as an ice-house for the adjacent brewery and after four years converted to living quarters. The building has been lovingly restored. There are two spacious suites here, Albert's Glen and Rudolph's Retreat, each with their own character and charm. Each suite has its own entracne, giving guests the privacy of home. King-sized beds, private baths, separate sitting rooms with sofa sleepers, TV's with VCR's, and fireplace add to the relaxed atmoshere. Guests in each suite will appreciate the creations of the artist-innkeeper. Hand-made tiles, original paintings, and sculptured bedposts are just a few of the artistic touches that give Abe's Spring Street Guest House a special quality. Breakfast is a real treat - entree could be a delectable french toast or a savory sausage-egg casserole accompanied by fresh fruit, juice, coffee, tea, or milk. Off-street parking is provided.
