An historic 1873 Victorian home, built by George Champlin Mason Sr. as his private residence awaits you. It is filled with period detail, antiques, collectibles and family mementos. A graceful porch along the side of the house overlooks a small garden, fishpond and the birdbath. Settle into a wicker rocker and sip lemonade after a day of sightseeing and shopping. Your elegant room awaits you with a queen antique/canopy bed, lush fabrics, private bath, sitting area, cable TV/VCR. Three of our five sleeping rooms have working fireplaces. Breakfast is served on fine china in the dining room alongside a glowing fireplace or on the porch through early Fall. Full breakfast is served in winter and full continental in summer. A parlour with a fireplace and comfortable seating for relaxing and enjoying other guests is warmed by a fireplace as is the cozy library. Onsite parking is provided and we recommend you leave your car. Most attractions are within walking distance. Walk to the beach, Cliff Walk and the harborfront. By the way, George Champlin Mason was a famous local architect and built 150 significant homes in the area several of which are open for viewing.
