It is located on 24 secluded acres about three miles south of Bayfield. The land includes meadows, hills, ravines, wetlands and a walking trail that passes by a running artesian well. The prevailing atmosphere is casual. Behind the home's contemporay exterior is an eclectic interior with a variety of intriquing furnishings that span many decades. The great room has a wood-burning fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows offering a 180-degree panoramic view that includes Lake Superior and Mt. Ashwabay. Opening onto the great room are four 16x20-foot guest rooms, each with a private bath and a private entrance to a large deck with a southern exposure so guests can enjoy the sun all day.
