Located on Inverness Ridge, adjacent to the Pt. Reyes National Seashore, Rosemary Cottage is a romantic French-country "pied-a-terre". The main room, divided into living room and kitchen, has a high open-beam ceiling and front wall of windows that look out onto a hauntingly beautiful forest canyon view, so that you have a wonderful connection with the outdoors, even if it should be foggy during your visit. Binoculars are provided to help you spot the myriad of birds that seek this protected spot. French doors open onto the large deck, which looks over the canyon and a small kitchen garden filled with fresh herbs for your use. A woodstove/fireplace sits in a corner of the living room: when it's lit at night the warm glow fills the room. Rosemary Cottage is furnished with some antiques, oriental rugs and comfortable furniture with good lighting available for readers.
The kitchen is well equipped and done with European tile, as is the tub/shower in the bath. The bedroom has a comfortable queen bed and has a view of the side shade garden, filled with ferns, hydrangeas and other shade loving plants. Additional sleeping space is available, using the daybed in the living room that turns into two twin beds.
Designed by the owner/innkeeper, Rosemary Cottage has many handcrafted details and much thought was given to creating a unique and comfortable space. After a day at the beach, soak in the hot tub under the stars. Families are welcome and a crib is available. A Bientot!
