Red Lion Hotel, Salisbury, United Kingdom
Thought to be the oldest working hotel in Europe, the Red Lion was built over 750 years ago to house draughtsmen working on historic Salisbury Cathedral - you'll be glad to know that today it is equipped with all modern ammenities. It is close to mysterious Stonehenge, Broadlands where Princess Diana and Prince Charles spent their honeymoon, the ancient New Forest, classic English country house Wilton House which was used by Eisenhower and Winston Churchill during WW2, and many other historic sites including Salisbury cathedral. It was one of the first coach houses between London and the West Country - and has now opened its own web site at http://www.the-redlion.co.uk.
