Brownstone Inn, Sheboygan, Wisconsin
While staying in this fabulous Inn, you will experience yesteryear in this 1907 brownstone mansion. From the grandeur of the ballroom to the mystique of the billiard room, you mind will fantasize of times gone by. This home was the private residence of Peter Reiss, President of the C. Reiss Coal Company, his wife Mattie and their two daughters. The brownstones were brought from Canada, precut and numbered for ease of assembly. Hardwood, marble and tile, hand-tooled leather and chandeliers grace the home’s spacious interior. Richly carved fireplaces, detailed ceiling and elegant staircases present the beauty of its era. This Grand Old Lady is still family owned. The restoration has been completed to maintain its original splendor without sacrificing modern conveniences. Having access to the whole home gives you a sense of freedom to explore and relax in the many common rooms throughout, giving you a more peaceful feeling during your stay. Take a stroll throughout the side yard and enjoy the wonderful trees and flower gardens. It is truly a special place and your comfort and enjoyment are our primary concern. So come stay at the Inn and let us pamper you. We’re looking forward to meeting you!
