The Muses is a classic Greek Revival-style home built in 1858. It boasts 15-foot ceilings, with origional plaster and Louisiana cypress woodwork. Elegant, but understated, The Muses is a prime example of New Orleans architecture. Furnished with period antiques and oriental rugs, the house showcases the artworks of Louisiana artists, including artist/owner Georgia Ross.
All rooms are spacious, uniquely decorated, and have ensuite baths. Their antique furnishings provide antebellum ambience as well as modern comforts, such as stereo cable TV, telephone, A/C and ceiling fans. Your rate includes a full gourmet breakfast, which is served from 9 to 11 a.m., using healthy organic foods.
