Consisting of two traditional wine and olive oil producing farms, Finca Santa Marta is mentioned in Karen Brown's Guide Book on Counry Inns (Spain)for the last 3 years, as well as Fodor's Guides, for representing the tasteful, rustic and authentic style of life in this unpsoilt and unknown region of Spain. Approximately halfway between Madrid and Lisbon, its easy access via highway N-V, 2 hours drive from Madrid, makes this restored olive oil mill (12 rooms all with bathroom) an enchanting inn to enjoy relaxation, walking and birdwatching. 50% of our customers are visitors from foreign countries. Ines, our Chilean cook (in 7 countries with us) prepares optional dinners, international style. Swimming pool in garden looking out on 60 acres of vineyards, olive, cherry and almond trees. A guest book full of heart-warming recollections of quietness, natural hospitality and beautiful surroundings. A "garden of Eden" off the beaten path in Spain and well worth a visit!
