Cashtown Inn1325 Old Route 30Cashtown, Pennsylvania 17310 United States 717-334-9722 800-367-1797 FAX: 717-334-1442 cashtowninn@mail.cvn.net http://www.cashtowninn.com (Calculated from a total of 8 ratings) Rate this Inn The Historic Cashtown Inn has been providing food and lodging to weary travelers for 200 years, first as a stagecoach stop and most recently as a Country Inn. During the Civil War, the Inn was used by Confederate General A.P. Hill prior to the Battle of Gettysburg and by Confederate General John Imboden following the battle. Located in the quiet village of Cashtown, eight miles west of Gettysburg, the Inn now includes a full service restaurant headed by Culinary Institute of America graduate, Chef George T. Keeney, and seven guest rooms each with private bath and amenities. Three of the rooms are suites with two rooms plus a bath. Favorite activities at the Inn include porch sitting, history discussion and ghost hunting. Since 1863, the Inn has been the home of an unknown Confederate soldier who died here and has yet to move on. Fortunately, guests can choose from the "haunted" and "non-haunted" rooms. Innkeeper Eileen Hoover provides a program for groups entitled "Stories from the Cashtown Inn" combining the history and ghost lore of the site. Winter theme weekends include "Cooking wth the Chef", "Me and My Friends" and "Civil War Mystery".
