Richwood Bed & Breakfast, Gratiot, Wisconsin
This completely renovated farmhouse, built by State Senator Francis Campbell in the 1860's, features a modern kitchen, wrap-around porch, and original wood floors. Spectacular views are available from every room in the house. During spring and fall, local wildlife (turkey, deer, hawks, etc.) is especially active and easily seen from Richwood. Guests are encouraged to bring their own horses to ride in our outdoor arena or on the trails and countryside adjoining Richwood. Stabling is available at the rate of $15.00 per night. Occassionally, clinics are offered featuring noted dressage, jumping, or cross-country trainers. If not interested in riding, just sit back and enjoy the peace and tranquility of Southwestern Wisconsin. Wisconsin's cheese country surrounds Gratiot and offers several award-winning cheese factories. Most are within minutes and provide area cheeses for purchase at a great discount. Additionally, the Cheese Country Recreation Trail which runs from Monroe to Mineral Point is directly accessible from Richwood. This trail welcomes hiking, biking, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, and horsebackriding.
