Silver Maple Lodge And Cottages, Fairlee, Vermont
The Silver Maple Lodge and Cottages is an historic bed and breakfast country inn which is one of Vermont's oldest, continuously operating country inns. The centerpiece of our property is an antique farmhouse dating to the late 1700's which was expanded in the Victorian -style in the mid 1800's. The inn, which first opened it's doors to travelers in the 1920's , has recently been restored and refurbished. Our look is fresh but the lodge is filled with many of the inn's original antiques.
You may choose from eight clean and cozy rooms in the original inn, or one of seven handsome knotty pine cottage rooms. Thirteen of our fifteen rooms offer private baths. Two of the cottages have kitchenettes and three also have working woodburning fireplaces. Each morning, enjoy a continental breakfast - highlighted by home-baked breads or rolls - served in our dining room. In warm weather, some guests wander outside, to relax in a rustic Adirondack chair on our huge wrap-around screened porch or under a shade tree with a cup of tea or coffee.
