A Big Red Barn Bed And Breakfast, Woodinville, Washington
Built in 1939 this incredible Gothic Gambrel barn has been transformed into a warm and inviting bed and breakfast. The beautifully restored dairy barn draws the visitor inside. You enter at ground level into a vestibule lined with cedar and old brick to a two story staircase. Your senses are aware of the soft sounds of the entry fountain to the height of the rake wheel light high overhead. You are beckoned to the level of the former hayloft. Your heart stops for an instant when you enter this massive, lodge-style room with a twelve foot high picture window, seventeen foot ceiling, a huge wood burning fireplace and a hide-away mezzanine. From the third floor dormer windows view the Sammamish Valley and Mount Rainier.
In Winter you are drawn to the roar of the fire. In Spring, see the orchard burst into bloom. In Summer, watch the birds nesting outside your window. And in Fall the field of Sunflowers swaying in the wind nurtures the soul. Only seventeen miles to downtown Seattle, the four acres of gardens and fields offer a quiet, peaceful retreat.
We serve a full country-style breakfast from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Earlier breakfast are possible by prior arrangement. Guests are welcome to relax, read, and rejuvenate. The Innkeepers are happy to prepare a picnic lunch for you to enjoy a concert at Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery or for biking along the Burke-Gilman Trail.
