At 30 Appleton Street are two studio apartments in an 1870 building that is the perfect alternative to an impersonal hotel. They are in an owner occupied building, newly renovated and decorated, quiet, each complete with sleeping for up to four people, and reasonably priced. One is a large studio on the second floor in the front. It has Victorian detail with a bow front and beautiful marble mantle. This apartment has a full kitchen facility and a private bath with tub and shower. There is a queen sized bed with extra sleeping on a futon couch. The other studio is a completely private sitting room/bedroom with its own bath and kitchenette facilities on the rear of the second floor. This apartment contains a full sized Murphy Bed with a regular firm mattress that folds down at night for sleeping and folds back into its cabinet during the day to give you the full use of the room area. There’s also a comfortable couch that makes into either a single or double bed. Both apartments have a color TV with cable, air conditioner, and your own private phone for making local and charge call gives you the amenities you expect in a hotel but they are in a private home setting.
