The Mansion House is a lovely waterfront planter’s residence located in the village of Public Landing. The property overlooks a broad expanse of Chincoteague Bay with Assateague Island looming in the distance. Built about 1835 by landowner and judge Ara Spence, the Mansion House has been carefully restored to its original charm and beauty.
The Mansion House offers four guest rooms uniquely decorated with just the right combination of comfort and style; all with private bath, fireplace, queen bed and Swedish Pressure Relieving Mattress. Begin your stay with afternoon refreshments and awake each morning to a full country breakfast. Early risers can leisurely sip their favorite beverage from the upstairs service bar.
While staying at the Mansion House, you’ll find that we are centrally located on the seaside of the Delmarva Peninsula. The area provides an abundance of activities for all-season fun. Enjoy crabbing, boating and swimming from our private pier. Kayak on the Chincoteague Bay. Paddle a canoe on the Wild and Scenic Pocomoke River. Run on long stretches of flat paved roads.
