This charming Victorian Country Cottage, listed on the National Register of historic places was built in 1862. It is the only structure left remaining at its original location, according to the layout of town, developed and built by Sam Brannan, a newspaper publisher, real estate speculator and purveyor of mining supplies.

The Inn features five graceful arches in front, an intricate gingerbread gableboard, a broad wraparound porch and is crowned with unusual scalloped ridge cresting. Inside, a cozy parlor with fireplace and inviting sitting area welcomes you to relax from your travels and sample local fermentations. We present six spacious, comfortable and airy rooms. All have queensize beds, private baths and their own entrance. Airconditioning and ceiling fans keep the rooms pleasantly cool during hot summer days. Oak flooring harmonizes with antique furniture. Cuddly down comforters and white lace curtains add to the Victorian charm exuded everywhere. Clock radios and refrigerators in each room are contemporary concessions to comfort.

Our location is very convenient intown, virtually walking distance to all of Calistoga's many hot spring baths, art galleries, museum, restaurants. We are happy to assist you in arranging tours through wineries or suggest well renowned restaurants. Please give us a try.
