Circa 1882: Built by Cedar Rapids brickyard owner, the Phillip Wolff House and Carriage house are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Both buildings are constructed of three courses of hand molded soft mud bricks made from the clay bluffs of the original property. Close to town, yet secluded by woods, the gracious Italianate architecture is surrounded by lovely grounds and perennial gardens. All guest quarters are in the carriage house, each furnished with quality pieces, luxurious linens, and private baths. Breakfast is served in the formal dining room of the main house.
