Welcome! The Duck Smith House is a 1914 farmhouse situated in the quaint town of Seagrove. Seagrove is considered the pottery capitol of North Carolina. Potters are scattered throughout the Seagrove countryside along winding and twisting roads. Step back in time .. come to Seagrove.
The House has been renovated and reopened February 2006. We feature all new bedroom furniture, mattresses with pillow top and memory foam, new linens, quilts with matching curtains.
All four bedrooms have private baths and televisions in each room. The house is wireless so feel free to bring your laptops with you. Our first floor room with king size bed has been designated as our handicap accessible room. The second floor has two bedrooms which feature queen size beds and the third room has two double beds.
Sit out on the front porch and relax or take a walk around the property and visit the tobacco barns and log cabins. There's a swing from the 100 year old walnut tree where you can sit and watch the birds. Come to Seagrove and step back in time at The Duck Smith House.
We serve a complete breakfast which may include Stuffed French Toast, Barbara's signature dish, or you may have Fresh Blueberry Pancakes.
