Built in 1855, this 6,400 square foot historic mansion is the oldest residence in the Takoma Park area. An imposing landmark from the street, the house has eleven bedrooms, four and a half baths, formal living and dining rooms, library, two less formal living rooms, two full kitchens, two laundries, and a woodworking shop. There is a separate, permitted apartment with its own entrance.

We have reserved four of the bedrooms for use by the guests of the Inn. Three share a common bath, one has its own bath with a Jacuzzi. Rates range from $75 [shared bath] to $125 [private bath] -- plus tax.

The living room, which has seated nearly 100 people for a wedding, is comfortably furnished and arranged to create three separate conversation areas. The library has an extensive collection of books and videos for your enjoyment.

Start the day off with a full breakfast specially prepared for your enjoyment. Frequent offerings include eggs benedict, waffles, pancakes, or stuffed crepes. Fresh fruit, juices, low fat cereals and yogurts are also available.
