Rustic relaxation is the theme in our 1905 Adirondack-style lodge. Paneled entirely in Douglas fir bead board, with newly finished maple floors, oriental rugs, and a grand piano, the house takes you back in time. Bring your favorite book and relax in the living room, on the dock, or in the formal garden.
Have a glass of wine in the teahouse, and you might be interrupted by an 8-point buck wandering by. Take a picnic lunch to our dock, and you could be pestered by ducks looking for a handout. The ever hopeful are frequently dropping in a line for the elusive perch or walleye.
Deluxe breakfasts are cooked to order every morning. Enjoy the many wonders of the Island during the day, and return to enjoy sumptuous sunsets across Lake Superior.
Each guestroom provides a haven with its own decor and unique charm. The rooms are eclectic, ranging from antique oak in St. Estephe and antique mahogany in Bordeaux, to hand-bent willow in Dijon, Florida white in Grenoble and antique walnut in Flanders.
