Cranford House is a Victorian town house in Keswick at the Heart of the English Lake District. We offer clean, warm comfortable and friendly accommodation about 5 minutes walk from the centre of town but on a quiet residential street. Rooms are light and airy, and beds large and firm. Each room has its own wash basin, although other facilities are shared. We have a lounge with an open fire and you can come and go as you please throughout the day. To the front of the house we have a small garden from where you can look up at the Skiddaw fellside.
The lakeside is a short stroll away, and Keswick makes an ideal base for touring the Lake District. It is a busy tourist town centred on the moot hall in the market square, with a large number of cafes, pubs, restaurants and outdoor shops. Derwent Water forms the southern edge of the town and a regular launch service operates around the lake.
The fells and lakes are the Lake District’s finest assets and we have numerous guidebooks and maps available for visitors who wish to explore.
