Oinako Lodge, built in 1865, provides premier bed and bed breakfast accommodation in one of Akaroa’s finest historic homes. Owners, Teresa & Greg Miller, offer personal hospitality at its best.

Oinako has recently been refurbished with quality and comfort in mind. A sweeping French staircase leads to six elegantly appointed guestrooms. All are of generous proportions, have spectacular harbour or mountain views and include luxurious ensuites. The intimate guest lounge, upstairs balcony and beautiful garden provide tranquil spots to relax. Additional features include marble fireplaces and ornate plaster ceilings. Wonderful breakfasts using fresh, local produce are served in the dining room overlooking the grounds.

Just 30 metres from the harbour and a gentle two-minute stroll to the main wharf, shops, and restaurants, Oinako is perfectly located in the heart of Akaroa.
