Lords Proprietors' Inn, Edenton, North Carolina
The Lords Proprietors' Inn is comprised of three restored historic homes on over an acre of grounds in the heart of the Historic District of Edenton. Our three houses offer twenty large, finely appointed, and fully equipped guest rooms. All have private bath, TV and VCR, and are decorated beautifully with antiques and reproductions. Three spacious parlors with fireplaces, a library, and wonderful, big porches are inviting places where guests enjoy our homemade cookies and tea in the afternoon, or a cordial in the evening.
The Whedbee House dining room, which is a charming additional building on the patio in the center of the property, provides the setting for truly fine dining. Our chef's cuisine is sophisticated, with a distinct taste of the region. So many of our guests leave their tables saying their supper was one of the very best they have ever enjoyed! Our marvelous full breakfasts receive comparable praise.
In the month of February we invite you to join us for our special Historic Preservation Weekends, offering our guests tours of Edenton's most splendid private historic homes and plantations, along with fabulous food and entertainment throughout the weekend.
