1857 Florida House Inn, Amelia Island, Florida

Amelia Island Florida Bed and Breakfast near Cumberland Island Seashore

Serving travelers and visitors to Florida since 1857, the Florida House is the oldest Hotel in the State. Restored and Renovated in 1991, from the original 25 rooms we now offer 15. Most rooms have working fireplaces and two person Jacuzzi tubs. Antiques and reproduction furniture, quilts, original heart-pine floors, and porch rockers are waiting for your arrival.

Come join those who have stayed before-- Rockefellers, Carnagies, U.S. Grant, Jose Marti and many other famous and infamous characters. Our Dining Room dates from 1865, and serves in the original Boarding-House Style from heaping platters and bowls all filled with delicious Souther Cooking. Our English-Style Pub with a wood burning fireplace, features a full Wine List, Cocktails and over 100 beers from around the world. We would welcome YOUR visit to our ISLAND and INN.
