I have always described Heron House as a place which is to be savored over a period of several days rather than a place to spend the night. There are simply too many areas of fascination here to be overlooked because you are in a hurry to be somewhere else. Heron House is as much a part of the Key West experience as is Key West of itself.

Just relax in one of our overly comfortable chairs arranged on our Chicago brick patios. Observe the swirling designs of brick. No monotony here; just fascination. Let your eyes wander to the edges of the tropical gardens and watch the myriad flowering orchids in the trees sway in the gentle breezes. Now, close your eyes. Smell the sweet scents of blooms and gently drift into a half dream, half sleep. Few places offer so much peace.

And when you enter your room you will enjoy a special treat: woodwork on walls, marble baths, cool Italian tiled floors. Much has been done by local artists using natural materials with an uninhibited, free-rein of creativity. The ultimate result has created an ambience of homey, genuine caring.
