Considered Miami's best kept secret, the Inn is located in the ethnically diverse Miami River Neighborhood of East Little Havana, across the Miami River from downtown. Built in 1908, restored to its original splendor in the late 1980's, the Inn is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The "compound" consists of five wooden cottages surrounding a pool and Jacuzzi in a lush tropical environment flourishing with flowers, soaring palms, and other native greenery. Guests can enjoy a lazy day by the pool, soaking up the sun's rays while being entertained by our extended family of cats and kittens. Or take a seat on a comfortable wicker couch on the front porch as the sun falls with a complimentary glass of red wine, and watch the cargo ships squeeze through the Miami River aided by tugboats. It s almost magical. Rooms are individually decorated. Lace curtains, hardwood floors, and painted ceilings outline the rooms with brass, wood, and wicker furniture filling in the rest. Guests can take a first-floor room with a porch that opens to the garden area or choose a room on the second or third floors with a view to the east overlooking the river and downtown.
