Carriage Way Bed & Breakfast is located in the heart of the historic district. A vernacular structure with Victorian features, Carriage Way was built between 1883 and 1885. In 1984, the structure was extensively restored to its original grandeur, fulfilling a dream of creating Carriage Way. The home baked full breakfast includes coffee, tea, juice, entree, sweetbread, freshly baked bread for toast, jellies and fresh fruit in season. The atmosphere is leisurely and casual, in keeping with the general attitude and feeling of Old St. Augustine. Accommodations include nine guest rooms located on the first and second floor. Guest rooms have a private bath with clawfoot tub w/shower or shower only and are furnished with antiques and reproductions including brass, canopy or four poster beds. Carriage Way has been featured in newspapers, magazines and books throughout the United States and abroad. Chosen by "Fodor's Affordable Florida," one of eight lodgings in all of Florida that are "Fodor's Choices." It was selected one of the 125 facilities appearing in "Best Places to Stay in Florida."
