Circa 1810. This inviting Federal-style home remains much as it did in the 19th century, including the original 12-over-12 windows and a beehive oven. The home’s historic flavor has been diligently preserved, and the original five fireplaces, handsome wide pine floors, restored moldings and exposed beams add to the warm and cozy interior. Guest rooms feature warm quilts, comfortable beds, air-conditioning and en suite baths. A special guest room has been added to the house on the first floor, which is fully handicapped accessible. Two luxurious two level suites feature king beds, fireplace, whirlpool tub and available sleeping for up to five guests. In room refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, and large TV. A full and hearty breakfast is included every day, and features such specialties as Blueberry French Toast or Sausage and Brie Casserole. Situated in Camden, the Captain Swift Inn is the perfect place on the Mid-Coast from which to explore all Maine has to offer, from one central location.
