The Whistling Swan Inn is a turn-of-the-century Queen Anne Victorian home. This massive three-story house features tiger-oak woodwork, two fireplaces and parlors downstairs, as well as a huge wrap-around porch on which breakfast is served during the summer. Stanhope is 45 miles due West of NYC and 70 miles Northeast of Philadelphia. This is a four-season tourism region of NJ providing peace for a romantic getaway as well as numerous activities from shopping in historic villages to white water rafting. The inn is just 1 mile from the International Trade Center and offers a corporate rate for business travelers from that area and other nearby businesses during the week. Small business conferences (up to 10) can be arranged in conjunction with overnight stays. Good home cooking is the wonderful attraction for the full buffet-style breakfasts served each morning. Don't hesitate to request (in advance) Farmhouse Corn Pancakes or Cheese Souffle or cold peach fruit soup.
