La Posada De Taos, Taos, New Mexico

Turn-of-the-century adobe home converted to the first B&B in Taos in 1982. Located in the Historic District of Taos. Six guest rooms, all different, decorated with country pine antiques, quilts, local art and crafts. All with private bath and entrances, five with privte patios and wood-burning kiva fireplaces. Common living room, sunroom and breakfast room. Books everywhere-borrow one and enjoy the solitude. Home surrounds a ramada courtyard ("a shady place") and gardens off each room. Quiet, yet conveniently located, just a few minute walk back to the center of town. Featured in NY Times as, "Where to Stay." Most commonly heard guest comment is "the way a B&B should be."

Breakfast is served each morning at 8:00 am around one large table. Fruit and a large full hot meal each morning. Guests and innkeepers eat together and share their Taos (and life) experiences. Casual and usually very informative and always interesting. Coffee, tea, beverage service available 24-hrs a day, compliments of the house.
