A climbing curving road leads to this log inn perched high atop Hatcher mountain with spectacular views of valley farmland and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Miss Daisy, the resident cat, will often greet you upon arrival. A tour of the inn includes the whereabouts of the pitcher of iced tea and the cookie jar. There is also the great room with a stacked stone fireplace leading to a broad porch filled with rockers for resting and a telescope for viewing the stars. On the upper floor is a large library and sitting area with nine windows with fantastic views. On the lower level is a cozy room with TV/VCR and another room with stone walls and wet bar has a pool table, dart board, games and game table, and TV/VCR with a selection of movies. Breakfast is a buffet with an 8:30 and 9:30 seating offering a variety of delicious foods that prepare you for an active day. There are a couple of picnic areas and a gas grill for guest use. In addition to the eight spacious romantic guest rooms, there is a three bedroom log cabin with fully equipped kitchen, dining and living rooms, three baths, porch and wraparound deck with a view that seems to go on forever. This is a great family accommodation.
