Munzesheimer Manor, Mineola, Texas
Munzesheimer Manor, built in 1898 by Gustav Munzesheimer, a German immigrant, is of the Princess Anne style (a less ornate version of the Queen Anne architecture) and is a magnificent testimony to the Victorian Era.
Built entirely of pine and cedar, the house provided a comfortable home for several prominent families over the years and boasts of large rooms with high ceilings. Seven fireplaces with antique mantles, several bay windows, and a large wrap-around porch accentuate the setting for complete rest and reflection.
Painstakingly restored to its original grandeur, Munzesheimer Manor has been thoroughly modernized while maintaining its charm and warmth.
There are two parlors, a large formal dining room, and four guest rooms in the main house; each named in honor of previous owners. The three cottage rooms are named to reflect the history of the house and the town.
