Nestled in the beautiful lower Shenandoah Valley, the Thomas Shepherd Inn offers guests the opportunity to experience gracious hospitality in combination with an historic setting. We offer six spacious, air-conditioned and delightfully furnished guest rooms, all with private bath. Our living room with fireplace, two formal dining rooms, library and porch, which overlooks our garden, are also available for your enjoyment.





A complete breakfast, prepared by your innkeepers Jeanne and Jim, is included with your room. Coffee and tea service is available for early risers at 7:00 and breakfast is served at 8:30. Please let us know if you have special dietary requirements.





The Thomas Shepherd Inn has been offering guests a memorable inn experience for over fifteen years. Built in 1868 as the parsonage for a Lutheran church, this Federal-style architectural treasure is situated on land once owned by Thomas Shepherd.





We have off-street parking available behind the inn on Duke Street. A variety of restaurants, shops and historic buildings are all within easy walking distance, as is Shepherd College.
