MacCallum House Inn, Mendocino, California

Mendocino California Bed and Breakfast with Whale Watch Festival

The MacCallum House Inn, owned and lovingly restored by the Reding family, occupies a beautiful turn-of-the-century Victorian, built as a wedding present for town belle, Daisy MacCallum. Situated in the center of historic Mendocino village with a short stroll to live theater, art galleries, shopping, ocean bluffs and beaches, the “Mac” became the social center of town, where Daisy would offer tea and cookies to passersby. You are equally welcomed as her sunporch remains a gathering place (now the Grey Whale Bar & Cafe) where locals and visitors talk over tasty bites from the kitchen.

After a drive along one of California's greatest backroads through the fine wine and champagne-producing Anderson Valley and Navarro redwoods to the coast, guests enjoy the inn’s delightful rooms, richly appointed with sleigh beds, cherry wardrobes and clawfoot tubs for two, offering amenities including fireplaces and garden/ocean view balconies. Choose a room in the main house (including one with a ghostly visitor) or a unique accommodation in the greenhouse, barn, water tower or carriage house. In the evening enjoy superb dining in the cafe or firelit dining rooms.

Innkeepers Cheryl and Lauren look forward to making your stay memorable.
