Jackson House, Railroad, Pennsylvania
Historic Bed and Breakfast Inn located on the Heritage Rail Trail in PA near Amish Market and Lots of Antiques Shops in York County
The Jackson House (Hotel) Bed & Breakfast was built in 1859 along the Northern Central Railroad. In the early 1900's The Jackson House Hotel was known as one of the finest hotels with steam heat and hot and cold running water from a stone cistern located at the top of the hill, which still exists today. The Jackson House is listed in the National Historic Register and now serves as Bed & Breakfast featuring 5 guest rooms. Each room is equipped with private bath, cable TV, and has original wood floors. We have two large king-bed suites, one with a private entrance, and a warm & cozy stone fireplace in the dining room with adjacent wine cellar. The parlor features the original dumbwaiter that was once used for service in the old hotel and the front porch is complete with rockers to enjoy the summer breeze. Beautifully terraced gardens and a big hot tub allow you to relax or enjoy a cold beverage. Jackson House Bed & Breakfast is located on the Heritage Rail Trail and centrally located in Wine Country.
