Inn Of The Turquoise Bear B&B, Santa Fe, New Mexico
On a walled estate six block from the Plaza, the heart of Santa Fe, a unique history and unrivaled hospitality merge at the Turquoise Bear. Surrounded by breathtaking gardens under a canopy of tall pines, this authentic adobe villa was the home of the poet, Witter Bynner, who entertained countless celebrities here, among them, D. H. Lawrence, Willa Cather, Robert Frost, Georgia O'Keeffe, W. H. Auden, Igor Stravinsky, Rita Hayworth, Errol Flynn, Aldous Huxley, and Edna St. Vincent Millay.
In 1999 the City honored the Inn with its prestigious Heritage Preservation Award, and the Inn received the Out & About Editor's Choice Award for 1999. The Turquoise Bear has been featured in New Mexico Magazine and The Santa Fean and recommended in Sunset, Hidden New Mexico, and the Los Angeles Times.
The Inn's evening social hour is extremely popular, a time when guests from around the world meet in an atmosphere reminiscent of a nineteenth century salon and tales of the City of Santa Fe and the Bynner Estate are enjoyed.
