Gallier Street Guesthouse, New Orleans, Louisiana
New Orleans Louisiana Bed and Breakfast with Riverboat Excursions
We are located 16 blocks downriver from the French Quarter in a Historical District called Bywater. Bywater grew up on original plantation property as a working class neighborhood of Creole Cottages and a few grand homes. Our 1850's Italianate Main house was built for entertaining in its grand parlors. An 1890's Creole Side-galleried Cottage has been totally renovated and contains our guest suites. The double-parlored Burgundy Suite has 12-foot ceilings and a king-size upholstered sleigh bed. The Dauphine Suite has a double-sided fireplace with king-size bed. Of course Aunt Elmira's attic is a bit cozy but has a charm all its own.
