The Royal Retreat is situated four blocks from the center of Historic Lewes, Delaware. The town has a lot of old world charm similar to many small country and coastal towns of Great Britain. Minutes to the Bay, Ocean and Tax free outlets.

Built by a Danish Sea Captain in 1890, "Lars Petersen" who was shipwrecked on the warm sands of Cape Henlopen after he sailed his windjammer across the Atlantic Ocean. The house is a mixture of old English Charm, Victorian charisma, with a strong flavor of British Nautical and Historical items. The Innkeepers Roy and Joann are dedicated to making your stay something special to remember.
