The Village Inn of Woodstock is a beautiful Queen Anne Victorian mansion with 7 guest rooms. The Inn retains much of the mansion's original splendor. An impressive oak staircase, fireplaces and hearths, wood floors, rich oak wainscoting and moldings, ornate tin ceilings, cranberry glass lamps, pocket doors, built in drawers and heavy beveled glass are all original. Downstairs in our cozy tavern you will find stained glass windows, a 19th century oak bar top and a custom brass rail. A chess table invites you to a game of chess or checkers.
The Inn is furnished with antiques, original art work, and folk art. Guests may relax in the parlor, tavern, dining room, an intimate upstairs sitting room with tv & vcr, the front porch, or the lovely Victorian perennial garden. Each of our rooms is elegantly furnished with period antiques. One has a fireplace, another has a whirlpool tub, two have original marble wash stands, all have private baths, extended cable television, and air conditioning in the summer months.
Whichever room you choose, you are sure to enjoy our full, cooked-to-order breakfasts, served at your convenience between 8 and 9:30 a.m., at your own table. Enjoy fresh seasonal fruit, Evelyn's home baked muffins and bread, David's entree of the day, or bacon and eggs, or Evelyn's home-made granola. We look forward to your visit!
